Automotive Lab

Automotive LabThe Automotive Lab contains over $200,000 in major equipment and provides full automotive mechanical, electrical, fuel, cooling, lubricating, and emission test and repair tools and equipment for student use. Informational DVDs supply a vast library of automotive technical information. In addition, many senior design and research vehicles take shape in the automotive lab.

A separate dynamometer cell with a SuperFlow 901 engine dynamometer (dyno) is housed within the lab. This dyno has a 1000 HP/10,000 RPM maximum capacity and is used for upper-level classes and senior design research projects.

A closed circuit television (CCTV) system is used for instruction. The overhead monitors and portable TV camera afford better viewing of lab demonstrations and act as a data acquisition system for research projects.
