Meeting Announcement


Dear Colleagues,

On behalf of the organizing committee, I am happy to announce that Minnesota State University, Mankato will be hosting the 70th Annual Meeting of the North Central Branch of the American Society for Microbiology, October 1-2, 2010. Among the speakers at this year's meeting will be Dr. Stanley Maloy and Dr. Lawrence Wackett. A banquet featuring a schawarma buffet and cash bar will be held at the AmericInn next to the campus following the Friday sessions.

Students are enthusiastically encouraged to attend and present. The top three oral presentations in both the undergraduate and graduate student categories will be recognized with cash awards. Participants in the oral presentation competition will receive a free ticket to the banquet. This year, the top undergraduate and graduate student posters will also receive awards.

Registration and abstract submission information can be found by following the links on the left side of this page. Registration and abstract submission forms will be posted by early June, so please check back.
