Graduate Applications

The following materials must be sent to the College of Graduate Studies:

  • completed Application for Graduate Study. Please note that this is a two page application. The second page must be submitted in duplicate. An online application is also available.
  • two official transcripts from your degree-granting institution(s)
  • a letter to the Department of Biological Sciences describing your interest in the graduate program that you are applying for, which could be either Biology MS, Biology Education MS, or Environmental Science MS. This letter should succinctly identify your career goals, your research interests, and identify the faculty member(s) with whom you are most interested in pursuing a thesis research project.
  • a completed immunization form
  • students from a country where English is not the primary language must submit an official IELTS score with a minimum score of 7 in speaking and in two of the other three ability categories. Similar scores from an equivalent exam can also be considered.
  • a $40 fee is required of applicants applying to a degree program.

If an Assistantship is desired a completed Graduate Assistantship Application must be sent to the Department of Biological Sciences, at the address listed below.
