MSU Hosts 2021 Regional VEX Robotics Competition

The 2021  VEX Robotics Competition was held this past Friday Decemeber 17th in the Myers Fieldhouse at Minnesota State. In total there were 47 High School Teams from 16 organizations, which include high schools and independent teams  and 45 Middle School Teams. According to Mankato West Robotics coach and event organizer Mark Zenk " [In the competition] Students gain team work skills, professionalism, engineering skills, and notetaking skills in the engineering notebook".   When asked about what about his experience coaching, Mark said "The most exciting part of coaching is seeing the students have fun and excel in engineering and robotics.... plus to see young people develop social and personal skills."  The regional tournament held at Minnesota State qualified 5 High School and 10 Middle School teams for state.
