Computer Science studies and promotes the science and applications of automated data processing. The Computer Science (CS) Department at Minnesota State University, Mankato offers a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, a Bachelor of Science degree in Sofware Engineering, a minor in Computer Science, and a Master of Science degree in Computer Science.
Upon graduation, our students are well prepared for a wide variety of career options. Graduates with a CS degree have a strong theoretical foundation and are well prepared for advanced degrees in Computer Science. Graduates witha SE degree have a solid foundation in theory as well as a solid foundation in the engineering of quality software products. Graduates of either degree may secure a poisition as a software developer, scientific programmer, systems programmer, or software engineer.
