Meet the Faculty

Dr. Puteri Megat Hamari

Dr. Puteri Megat Hamari is an Associate Professor in Electrical and Computer Engineering & Technology at Minnesota State University. Mankato. She received her Ph.D from Vanderbilt University. She has invaluable experience in the research and fabrication of diamond microstructures. Dr. Hamari has fabricated microelectronic monolithic and freestanding boron-doped diamond resistors that involve micromachining processes. Dr. Hamari is passionate about increasing the participation of women and underrepresented minorities in engineering and research. Her teaching philosophy is to make engineering accessible and interesting for her students. She has worked with other faculty to set up a research group for undergraduate students at Minnesota State University. This group exposes students to research and engineering processes and is made of a diverse group of students from all over the world. Other than being busy with her work, she loves to watch Korean dramas, cook and being outdoors. She lives in Mankato with her husband and two cats. Her goal is to inspire more women to become engineers.

Dr. Bhushan Dharmadhikari

Dr. Bhushan Dharmadhikari is an Assistant professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering and Technology at the Minnesota State University Mankato. His research focuses on the fundamental understanding of the nanobio interface to develop novel nanocomposite materials with potential applications ranging in bio-sensing, delivery, and diagnostic tools. With this as a central idea, this research interests include computational modeling of the molecular system, nanomaterials, nano sensors, MEMS, and VLSI devices.
