At Minnesota State Mankato, the professors know your name, your interests, and your goals—and they work hard to help you achieve them. Our engineering students have consistently achieved a near 100 percent pass rate on the required Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam. The FE is the precursor to the Professional Engineering exam taken after five years of professional employment.

Four engineering programs are offered at Minnesota State Mankato:  mechanical engineering, electrical and computer engineering and civil engineering.  All are accredited by the American Board of Engineering Technology (ABET). ABET accreditation is a national acknowledgment that the program meets only the highest academic and professional engineering standards.

Engineering Technology is also offered at Minnesota State Mankato.  These programs, all four-year degrees and ABET accredited, provide a unique option for students interested in technology.  The programs  are automotive engineering technology, computer engineering technology, electronic engineering technology and manufacturing engineering technology.The prestigious automotive engineering technology program is only the second program of its kind in the United States the other located at Ferris State in Ohio.

Lab and classroom facilities at Minnesota State Mankato are spacious and contemporary with state-of-the-art equipment designed to enable students to tackle real-world issues with  21st century tools.  Equipment used in the labs is based on industry recommendation, and in many cases, cutting-edge within the industrial environment.

Minnesota State Mankato also offers Integrated Engineering, a department with two programs: Iron Range Engineering and Twin Cities Engineering.
