The Information Systems & Technology Department strives to prepare our graduates
to assume positions of leadership and responsibility. We are continually evaluating
our curriculum and have just completed major revisions to provide our students with
knowledge and skills to apply the most recent technological advances. Our curriculum is
designed with the following objectives in mind:
- Provide our students with the necessary analysis and programming skills to be effective
in modern IS&T careers
- Provide our students with both oral and written communication skills
- Provide all students with "real-world" experience via an internship or a capstone experience
- Confer regularly with business and industry representatives to better understand
the needs of the marketplace and to adjust the curriculum to better serve these needs
- Provide students with a breadth and depth of knowledge and skills to prepare them for
a wide variety of key positions
