Majors offered by the Information Systems & Technology Department include
- The Information Systems major includes
business concepts to prepare the student for careers such as: application software development, business
system analysis and design, information system management, user training and education, database
management, business consulting services, or office automation systems. This is a broad major and
no minor is required.
- The Information Technology major includes a specialization in
one of the following: database technologies, networking and information security, or software development.
It must also be accompanied by a minor of the student's choice. This major will prepare the student for
careers such as software developer, programmer, programmer/analyst, systems analyst, database specialist,
or networking and information security specialist.

Management Information Systems (MIS)
major under the old Computer and Information Sciences (COMS) Department, the Information Systems &
