College and Departmental Scholarships
Note: This list of college and departmental scholarships is preliminary; it is based on the old Department of Computing and Information Sciences -- the predecessor of the Department of Information Systems & Technology. Some of these scholarships may not apply to the new department.
- Turning Pointe Scholarship: One award of $1000 will be given to a single mother with dependent child(ren) who is a declared and accepted major in the College of Science, Engineering and Technology with 32 credit hours completed (no GPA requirement). Recipients selected by the Dean's Scholarship Review Committee. Separate application required. Details...
- College of Science, Engineering and Technology Scholarship: Fourteen awards of $1000 will be given, To qualify, a student must have a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or above; have completed at least two full semesters at MSU and be declared a major in the college or in a pre-professional major with the college. Recipients selected by the Dean's Scholarship Review Committee.
- Dean and Maxine Turner Scholarship: One award of $1000 will be given. To qualify, a student must have a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or above and be enrolled in any major in the college or in a pre-professional major associated with the college. Preference will be given to students who will be seniors in the fall. Recipients selected by the Dean's Scholarship Review Committee.
- Stein Scholarship: One award of $1000 will be given. To qualify, a student must have a cumulative GPA of 3.3 or above; have completed at least one full semester at MSU and be a declared math, science or pre-professional major in the college. Recipients selected by the Dean's Scholarship Review Committee.
- Federated Insurance Scholarship: Two awards of $ 1500 will be given. To qualify, a student must be a junior or senior and have maintained at least a 3.0 GPA in an iSYS or IT major.
- Information Systems & Technology Department Scholarship: Five awards of $300 will be given. To qualify, a student must be a sophomore, junior or senior and have maintained at least a 3.0 GPA in an iSYS or IT major.
- Brown Printing Company Scholarship: Three awards of $750 will be given. To qualify a student must have been accepted into a CSET major, have a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher, completed 64 credits (junior status), and be legally able to permanently work in the U.S. upon graduation.
