The schedules available below show how you can take required IT courses in each of the specializatons in an order that satisfies all prerequisites. General education courses are sprinkled throughout the schedule, including the senior year so you can more easily find open course sections.
The judicious choice of courses for General Education can decrease the number of courses needed. For instance, ART 160 is included in categories 6 and 8; GEOG 103 is included in categories 5 and 8; HIST 170 and HIST 171 are both included in categories 1C, 5, and 8; HIST 190 and HIST 191 are both included in categories 1C, 5, and 7. Thus, if HIST 190 were the choice of General Education Category 5 course taken in the Spring semester of the student’s Freshman year, there would be no need to take the Category 7 course listed in the Spring of the Senior year. By taking this approach, there should be no need to exceed 16 credit hours in any semester.
Since students in this program are required to take several courses which are in the same General Education category (e.g. MATH 180; MATH 181 or MATH 121; STAT 154), using courses in the above manner will not cause the total number of General Education credits to fall below the required 44.
