Mr. D. Joseph Duncan, II, P.EMr. D. Joseph Duncan, II, P.E, is an adjunct faculty member in the Civil Engineering Program. He is a registered professional engineer with over ten years of experience and is currently an Associate member of the firm of Bolton & Menk, Inc. Mr. Duncan holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering and a Master of Science Degree in Civil & Environmental Engineering, both from South Dakota State University.
Mr. Duncan's background includes residential and commercial developments, reconstruction projects, municipal state aid projects, watershed modeling, lake outlet structures, storm sewer and detention basin design and construction. He also has extensive experience using Cybernet in modeling water systems to determine necessary improvements such as new watermains, storage tank sizing and location, and changes to existing conditions to provide adequate water pressures and fire-fighting capabilities. He has served as project manager for several projects including complete stormwater management designs, state aid projects, watershed modeling, larger retail site development and municipal street and utility reconstruction.
Currently, Mr. Duncan serves in the consulting capacity as the City Engineer for the Cities of Janesville, Nicollet, Courtland and Belle Plaine.
