Dr. Mark Knoff, P.E.Dr. Mark Knoff joined the Civil Engineering Faculty at MSU as an adjunct professor in 2005. Dr. Knoff received his BSCE from the U.S. Air Force Academy, and his MS and PhD in environmental engineering from Purdue University. His area of expertise is water quality. Dr. Knoff is a registered professional engineer in Colorado. He is currently the Public Works Director for Faribault, Minnesota. He recently retired from the Air Force with 20 years of service. His final Air Force assignment was as the Deputy Department Head for the Civil and Environmental Engineering Department, U.S. Air Force Academy. Dr. Knoff was also a rated helicopter pilot in the Air Force.
