A minimum GPA of 2.0 is required.
A limited number of P/NC credits are accepted toward the major at departmental discretion. No more than 1/4 of all undergraduate credits may be P/NC, except those courses offered P/NC only.
A minimum of 50 percent of the credits for a major or minor in Manufacturing Engineering Technology must be taken at Mankato State University. In addition to general university transfer-of-credit policies for students transferring to MSU, the following policy will be followed in giving credit in Manufacturing Engineering Technology courses. For students transferring from two-year or four-year colleges, up to 28 MET credits will be accepted if the transcript is from an ABET-accredited school. If the school is not accredited by ABET, MSU will accept up to 14 credits. Grades of transfer credits must be C or better to be acceptable for substitution for all required technical studies, basic science and mathematics, and communication courses in the major.

A suggested schedule for Manufacturing Engineering Technology students can be obtained from the Manufacturing Engineering Technology program coordinator. Prerequisites must be observed. A flow chart of prerequisites is available in the department office.
The scheduling of all department courses is done yearly, based on enrollment and staffing. To obtain a current class schedule, contact Jean Willaert or call 507-389-6383.
