Standeford Observatory will open for the fall 2009 observing season on Tuesday, September 8.
Standeford Observatory is open regularly during the fall and spring observing seasons. Hours and days may vary with the season, the weather, and demand:
Fall: Clear evenings, Monday through Thursday, between Labor Day and Thanksgiving (depending on the onset of winter weather), from 8:30 to 10:30 pm.
Spring: Clear evenings, usually Monday through Thursday during April, from 9:00 to 11:00 pm.
The public is invited to Thursday Nights at Standeford Observatory and Open House at Andreas Observatory, events that are held regularly during the fall and spring observing seasons.
