There is no Science Teaching degree in Astronomy, but astronomy coursework is included in the curricula of all Science Teaching majors – particularly in the Earth Science Teaching program. The Minnesota Board of Teaching requires that students satisfy a number of astronomy-related competencies in order to meet the requirements for licensure. Students accomplish this by taking the appropriate astronomy and geology (earth science) courses.
