I’m a new graduate student at MSU Water Resources Center as of January 2009. I am originally from Nashua, Iowa. My research focuses on biota and turbidity impairments on High Island Creek and turbidity impairment on Rush River. My field work will consist of sampling fish assemblages with a backpack electrofisher and assessing biotic integrity along High Island Creek at sites already being monitored for water quality by the MPCA and MSU Water Resources Center. The main objective of my project is to develop a TMDL for turbidity and biota impairments on these streams.
