Susie Carlin
Program Director, Minnesota River Board

B.S. University of Florida (major Environmental Science, minor Zoology) 2000

While in Florida, Susie spent seven years as a Collections Assistant in the Division of Fishes at the Florida Museum of Natural History.  Prior to her arrival in Minnesota, Susie served as the Executive Director of the Tri-State Steelheaders.  Based in eastern Washington, this group served as a Regional Fisheries Enhancement Group—integrating the interests of sportsmen, farmers, and scientists to improve the aquatic habitat of endangered salmon species.

It was her interest in fish conservation that led Susie to the Water Resource Center in 2008.  She now serves as the Program Director for the Minnesota River Board.  In this capacity, she is responsible for coordinating activities throughout the Minnesota River Basin.  She serves as a liaison between MRB delegates and the many water quality partners in the region—SWCDs, non-profit organizations, water planners, state agencies, and others.
