After graduating from Concordia College, Diane taught for three years. She has worked many different types of positions before her foray into water quality. She was hired as the executive administrative assistant for the Minnesota River Board (MRB) in 2001. In 2003, a partnership between the MRB and Minnesota State University brought Diane from the MRB Chaska office to working in the Water Resources Center.
As office manager for the WRC, her main job is setting up and tracking all the contracts and grants, as well as keeping the projects within the boundaries of time and money criteria. She enjoys the fact no two days are the same and that the staff and interns are fun to work with. Diane also continues her work with the Minnesota River Board as assistant director. In 2008, Diane was awarded the College of Science, Engineering, and Technology Award for Excellence in Staff Support.
