The Department of Mathematics believes an undergraduate major should be both an introduction to more advanced study and a survey of the many facets of mathematics. The primary focus of the BS Mathematics Teaching program is to prepare students to teach mathematics at the middle and secondary levels as well as prepare students for advanced study in mathematics and teaching.
