Biology Faculty Receive $1.5 million Grant!

Congratulations to Department of Biological Sciences Faculty Drs. Cohen, Land, Martensen, Smith, and Sharlin for being awarded a $1.5 million grant from the National Science Foundation (S-STEM program). This grant will provide $945,000 in scholarships for biology and biochemistry students, with each scholar receiving up to $40,000 over 4 years. It will also continue funding the RISEbio program, an innovative hand-on program that provides a mentored research experience to first and second year biology and biochemistry students.
