Dr. Azarbod is a professor in the Computer Information Science department since 1985. He previously served as Manager of Financial Information Systems for University of Oklahoma at Norman from 1976 - 1985. Prior to that he was an internal and external financial auditor for ITEM auditing Company, Tehran Iran from 1970-1974. Dr. Azarbod has many years of consulting services and was the founder of InfoGem, a Mankato based consulting company from 1999-2009.

Currently Dr. Azarbod is the director of B507 (Bureau 507). B507 (www.is a Student run, faculty mentored, and problem based learning with creative solutions. B507 is a group of enthusiastic student professionals, driven by the constant developments in the field of ICT (Information Communication Technology) and new media. B507 is headquartered in the Minnesota State University where they are busy recruiting, executing, and delivering high quality projects to their paid clients. They provide services in graphic and web design, information technology, database design and development, data analytics, and audiovisual production.
