Microfabrication Lab Received Fund

July 31, 2019 |

Our Microfabrication Lab (clean room) is the only Lab in the Minnesota State system that has the capability of fabricating and testing semiconductor integrated circuit chips. It is one of few such labs national wide in teaching focused universities and colleges. The Microfabrication Lab received USD 40K investment in Academic Year 2016/2017 from the department’s engineering fund, and received USD 200K matched fund from the Minnesota State system to purchase and install a key instrument in the Lab i.e., the Mask Aligner, so that the Lab preparation and execution time can be significantly shortened to enhance efficiency. The renovation is completed in Academic Year 2017/2018. Congratulations!
