EE Students Build Maverick Machine Marching Band Drum Lights
Senior Electrical Engineering students, Jeremy Sutherland, Troy Odegaard and Michael Valkos designed and built drum lights for the Maverick Machine Marching Band. Michael Thursby, the Director of Athletic Bands and Percussion approached the ECET faculty - Dr. Megat Hamari and expressed interest for collaboration to create LED Drum Lighting for the Maverick Machine Band. The timing has never been better. The collaboration between the ECET students and the Music department marks the first in the collaboration effort between the two departments. The phenomenon of Drum Lighting has added a new dimension to the Maverick Machine Marching Band. The new features will be debuted during the first football game.
