Research Accomplishments
Research products experience significant increase in AY 2016/2017: we received over $700K in total! The trends of increase continue in AY 2017/2018. ECET has finished the renovation of its Automation and Instrumentation lab by investing USD 40K from its engineering fund to the Automation Lab (PI: Dr. Allen).
Dr. Zeng’s $600K grant was finally received in Fall 2017.
Dr. Winstead received $200K grant in Fall 2017. Both of the above significant grants are from Xcel Energy. In addition,
Dr. Zhang received $4K Flie’s Fellowship from the Dean and Mr. and Mrs. Flie to work on Silicon Photonics modulators with NeoPhotonics Corportion.
Dr. He received an FRG award with $5K. Dr. Megat Hamari received FIG award with $3k.
Dr. Zhang published a paper in Optical Fiber Communication Conference (OFC), which, with 15000 attendance, is one of the most competitive IEEE conferences.
Dr. Wu and Dr. Zhang’s paper was published in IEEE Transactions on Antenna and Propagation. This is the first top journal article from Dr. Wu’s group during recent years and represents a significant progress of our research output in Microwave Engineering.
