Computer and Electrical Engineering Alumn
Software Engineer at Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (Oracle)

The Electrical and Computer Engineering and Technology (ECET) department has contributed so much into my career. It was the catalyst to setting me on a path for successful professional endeavors. This department cares about each of its students and pushes us to be a better version of ourselves via the academic prowess the faculty members hold. In addition, the mix of hands-on learning and in-depth curriculum makes for a perfect match that not only helps students get closer to succeeding in the Engineering career realm, but also makes them standout candidates when compared to peers in other colleges and programs.

During my academic journey, both in my undergraduate and graduate studies, the professors were always helpful and easily accessible outside of the classroom. This helped a lot in building close and personal relationships with faculty members that were involved in research areas that I was interested in. Eventually, these experiences helped me land multiple internship opportunities in places such as Intel, IBM, Cisco, and Rolls-Royce Power Systems AG while in college, and finally resulted in me securing a full-time role out of college at Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) as a Software Engineer.

I’m forever thankful to have been a student of this great department, and would recommend it to students looking to get into the Computer and Electrical Engineering field. This is education at its finest.
