Standeford Public Nights Begin

On clear nights between 25 March and 4 May, Standeford observatory invites the public to enjoy night sky viewing. The observatory is open to the general public between 9-11 PM every Monday-Thursday evening, and their is no cost to attend.  Reservations are not needed, but we ask individuals in parties larger than 10 to call ahead if possible.

No car traffic is allowed past the main gate.

If you would like to determine if the observatory is open the evening you plan to attend, you can call 507-389-6208 between 9-11 PM.  If no one answer the call between those hours, the observatory is closed that evening for weather.

The Standeford Observatory will be closed April 8th and 9th for the solar eclipse.
