Student Participants| Research Projects

7:30am Open for Set-Up CSU* Ballroom

Myers Field House Exhibit Set-Up & Display and Safety Checks. No check-in required.

8:45am Students report to their projects Myers Field House

Parents, mentors, educators, and visitors must exit the exhibit hall at this time. Students are expected to remain with their projects until formal judging ends. Visitor activities in Shellberg Gym & Courtyard. All visitors are welcome to participate.

9am Project Judging Begins Myers Field House

Judges and registered students only

12pm Formal Judging Ends Myers Field House

All students are dismissed for lunch/free time.

Lunch

A variety of food items available including Domino’s Pizza, hot dogs, nachos, Stomper Cookies, popcorn, chips, candy, and beverages. CSU Food Court/ University Dining Center Several options for lunch in MavAve, the first level of the Centennial Student Union, or the University Dining Center.

Don’t forget to take some time to relax and unwind!

12 - 2pm Exhibit Viewing Open to Public Myers Field House

All are welcome in the Field House to view exhibits during this time.

Ribbons will be placed on projects at this time, please be patient with this process. Student’s presence is not required at this time.

2pm Project Take-down and Clean-up Myers Field House

Remove all tables, personal belongings and bring projects to vehicles. All chairs can be left at your site and will be removed by Fair Staff.

2:30pm Awards Ceremony – Mandatory Bresnan Arena/Taylor Center

AWARDS CEREMONY | The Awards Ceremony will be held in Bresnan Area located in the Taylor Center at 2:30pm.

EXHIBIT HALL ACCESS | All are welcome to help students set up projects until 8:45am | From 9am to 12pm the Exhibit Hall is CLOSED for judging (student and judge access only) | The exhibits are open to the public from 12pm to 2pm We encourage visitors during this time.

FOOD & BEVERAGE OPTIONS | Concession Stand 9am - 4pm Firehouse Subs | MavAve 11am - 6pm Starbucks | MavAve 11am - 10pm Taco Bell Express | MavAve 11am - 6pm University Dining Center Brunch: 10am - 2pm Lite Brunch: 2 - 4pm Saturday Dinner: 4 - 8pm


Things to Do

Earth Day Festival

Celebrate and learn about the environmental research being conducted by our Minnesota State University, Mankato campus community. Visit Minnesota State University faculty and students at a series of interactive “stations” where researchers from across campus will provide hands-on demonstrations. The festival will be located outside in the courtyard between Trafton Science Center, Armstrong, and Morris Hall and in Shellberg Gym.

Maverick Bullpen 12pm-11:30pm

Bowling, billiards, TVs – open to everyone

    • Bowling - $4/per person, Shoe rental $3/per person
    • Billiards - $6/per hour
    • Games/Recreation - (Foosball, Table Tennis, Darts, Chess and More) $2/per hour
    • Snack Bar
