The Department of Chemistry and Geology offers B.A. and B.S. degrees in biochemistry, a B.T. degree in Chemistry Teaching, and B.A. and B.S. degrees in chemistry as well as a B.S. degree in chemistry certified by the American Chemical Society.
Obtaining a major in Chemistry will prepare you for a variety of inspiring and transformative career opportunities. Our alumni have used their education to find careers in companies ranging from smaller regional companies to Fortune-500 international companies and even in science teaching. Others have obtained Master’s and Doctoral degrees from top-tier graduate programs in Chemistry or Chemistry-related fields. Many of our alumni have also used their undergraduate Chemistry degree as a pathway to careers in Medicine, Optometry, Dentistry, Pharmacy, Law and Veterinary Science.
