Dr. Moen's teaching focus includes upper division biochemistry courses and allied health GOB courses.
Dr. Moen's research investigates the molecular mechanisms of aging, age-related diseases, and oxidative stress on muscle proteins function and structural dynamics using various biochemical and biophysical experimental techniques. Mentored undergraduate research experiences are a major focus of Dr. Moen's research projects.
