Biochemistry and Chemistry Scholarship Information
Several merit-based scholarships are available to students in our department. Specific requirements for these awards can be found on Minnesota State University Scholarship Finder. The following is a summary of some of these scholarships.
Alex J. Pitcher Biochemistry/Chemistry Memorial Scholarship
Awarded to chemistry or biochemistry majors entering their senior year, with preference for students planning to pursue medical, dental or graduate school.
Biochemistry Triad Scholarship
Awarded to biochemistry majors entering their senior year of study who demonstrate exemplary progress in academics, research, and service.
Department of Chemistry and Geology Scholarship
Awarded to junior and senior students who have declared a major within the department.
Leonard A. Ford Family Biochemistry/Chemistry Endowed Scholarship
Awarded to senior students with majors in chemistry, biochemistry, chemistry teaching, with preference for chemistry (ACS) majors.
Marie Payne Graham Chemistry Memorial Endowed Scholarship
Awarded to incoming freshmen with an interest in majoring in chemistry.
McCarty Memorial Biochemistry/Chemistry Endowed Scholarship
Awarded to biochemistry and chemistry majors entering their junior or senior year.
Robert E. Gebelt Biochemistry/Chemistry Memorial Endowed Scholarship
Awarded to female, senior biochemistry or chemistry majors involved in extracurricular activities.
Robert Henney Memorial Scholarship
Need-based award for declared majors within the department entering their junior or senior year.
Stenzel Emeriti Faculty and Staff Scholarship
Need based award for hard-working, self-motivated students entering their junior or senior year who have declared a major within the department.
Winston Grundmeier Biochemistry/Chemistry Endowed Scholarship
Awarded to declared chemistry, biochemistry or chemistry teaching majors entering their sophomore year.
