Our alumni consistently find rewarding careers and tops spots in graduate or professional schools. Many of those students have offered to share their stories to provide a glimpse of their perspective on the value of their time at Minnesota State Mankato.
Matthew Krna received a M.S. degree from our department in December 2008 studying vascular plants in Antarctica and is currently studying carbon and nutrient cycling in tussock grasslands for his PhD research in Ecology at Massey University in New Zealand.
Dr. Thomas Tan is an executive at the EMD Serono Research and Development Institute in Billerica, MA. Dr. Tan received a B.S. degree from our department in Biotechnology prior to earning a PhD from the University of Washington School of Medicine.
Jill Gassman was a double-major, earning a Biology B.S. and Biochemistry B.A. degrees during her time at Minnesota State Mankato. Jill earned a Master's degree from the University of Iowa in Preventative Medicine and Environmental Health and is currently an Environmental Health and Safety Professional at SunEdison.
