Admission

The department offers four graduate programs. Please go to https://mankato.mnsu.edu/future-students/graduate/apply/ to start your application. Preference will be given to applicants with a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 and a demonstrated ability to consistently perform at a B or better level in upper-division mathematics and/or statistics courses. An applicant must also meet the general admission requirements of the College of Graduate Studies and Research. Please refer to the admission checklist for the general admission requirements.

Unless otherwise noted, applications for the fall term are due on July 1 for the Fall semester, and November 1 for the Spring term. The deadlines for international applications are May 1 for the fall term and October 1 for the Spring term. Applicants applying for a graduate assistantship are encouraged to apply by February 1, although we will continue to review assistantship applications until all positions are filled.
